Thanks for the support #Westernpower. East Rockingham Waste to Energy goes live.
The East Rockingham Waste to Energy facility will convert 300,000 tonnes-per-annum residual waste into energy, diverting up tp 96% of resdiual waste from landfill.
To connect this #renewableenergy to the grid, we have worked closely with East Rockingham WtE to:
• design and build a new substation • install a 132kV transmission line • upgrade two existing substations
This will enable 224,000MWh to be exported into the grid, enough to power 36,000 homes.
Currently under construction, the facility will be completed in 2023.
