It was a pleasure to listen to WA Environment Minister Hon Reece Whitby at the WMRR Breakfast with the Minister this morning. The Minister acknowledged the important role waste to energy has in meeting the targets of the waste strategy. Importantly, WtE must only process residual waste. Avoiding methane emissions from landfilling has to be a primary focus of policy makers across Australia.
